Connecting Dots, Charcuterie, and Hustling: A Week in the Life

Alright, here we go—another day, another hustle! I had to check my last post just to remember where I left off because honestly, life’s been moving at warp speed, and I’m like, “Wait, what day is it again?” Turns out, my last update was about Tuesday’s alumni event.

Fast-forward to Wednesday: I had a 5 PM meeting with a friend who’s basically a data guru (linear, CTV, audience stuff—you name it). I was connecting dots between something someone mentioned last week and what I know to be true. Spoiler: there’s definitely something there, and I had to dig in. Over charcuterie and beer, I got an insight that’s going to be gold for my business model.

Then, straight from that meeting, I met with another friend who’s diving deep into my business model. He’s been flagging opportunities I can’t ignore—seasonality-related stuff that might mean reprioritizing things post-MVP. Nothing earth-shattering, but super valuable.

Thursday morning kicked off with a call to a VC friend. We talked pre-seed, seed, and gaining traction pre-MVP. His advice? Already implementing it. Revamping some RFPs as we speak. Then I had lunch with a friend who works nearby. It was meant to be a casual catch-up, but of course, I worked my project into the convo, and boom—an awesome idea for market segmentation came out of it. It connected perfectly with something my VC friend had said earlier.

Later that day, I met a developer (thanks to an intro from a friend last week). We grabbed coffee, talked for two hours, and he’s now reviewing some stuff for me. He also dropped a genius idea for pre-App Store moves. Safe to say, it’s go time.

Right now, I’m speed-typing this because I’ve been working on the website before heading to a Burton event. Networking is key, and my goal is to get 20 signups today. After that, I’m “off” for the night—but let’s be real, I’ll still be pitching. Tomorrow’s got a promising call lined up, but I’ll save that story for then. Alright, time to run. Catch you later!
